Prague Quiet Music Festival

A festival of quieting, slowing down, and presence.

Prague Quiet Music Festival is the flagship project of Prague Quiet Music Collective and an international contemporary music festival dedicated to sonic restraint, silence, and the attentive exploration of sound. It guides listeners toward immersive experiences, slowing down, and inhabiting the present moment with care and curiosity. The festival presents works by contemporary composers focusing on quiet music, often in world premieres. Past performers include Jürg Frey, Klaus Lang, asamisimasa, and Phonetic Orchestra.

In addition to concerts, the festival regularly offers a supporting program for audiences: listening and movement workshops, meditation sessions, tea rituals, soundwalks and other activities that encourage deep listening and presence. The program includes concerts, site-specific projects, and interdisciplinary performances, fostering long-term collaborations with Czech and international composers and performers. Special attention is given not only to the music itself but also to the space, acoustics, and temporal framing, allowing for deeply focused and immersive listening experiences.
