Lesklá nijaká chvilka, co se rozpadá (A Shimmering, Ordinary Moment Falling Apart) is a staged reading with live music in which memories of everyday life drift through a delicate fabric of sound. A meeting of a ground beetle and a bow, a snail on a bridge. A continuous work situated between literature and music, unfolding in its own time and atmosphere.
The project is based on recent prose texts by Petr Borkovec, performed by the author himself. Composer Ian Mikyska builds a loose musical structure for a reciter and three musicians, moving between composition and improvisation. The music grows directly out of the texts — their imagery, rhythm, and central themes, which include the relationship to nature, attention to small details, and a distinctive perception of time. Rather than accompanying or alternating with the reading, music and text exist as equal layers, interwoven into a single, continuous form. Together they create an intimate, contemplative experience that leaves space for silence, hesitation, and the fleeting moment before meaning settles in.
